Payment with order. All our prices are in British pounds. We accept most major Credit and Debit cards including Amex., cheques in British pounds drawn on a British bank and PayPal.

If we receive payment with your order, our objective is to get the book in the post to you within one working day. Orders received after mid-day UK time on Fridays may not be processed until the following Monday.

Postage & packing are extra. Click here for information about shipping costs. High value parcels will be sent insured.

We confirm despatch by email and provide estimates of delivery times. We would appreciate it if you let us know when the book arrives.

We are a family-run business consisting of two shops: Stella Books in Tintern and Rose's Books in Hay-On-Wye. Your orders will automatically be forwarded via our internal network to the correct location and you will be informed as to which shop your book is in. This procedure will not result in any delay in the processing of your order. Books ordered from both shops can be shipped together if required.

Returns

We do our best to make sure that all of our books are described accurately. Books can be returned within 7 days of receipt if found to be not as described. Please phone or email before returning any item. An immediate refund will be given on receipt of any books returned.

All information supplied to us by our customers is treated as totally confidential and is never passed on to any other parties.

You can access our website without disclosing personal details, but if you would like to make a purchase, register your wants or subscribe to our mailing list we will need to have some personal details. This includes your name, your postal address, your e-mail address and other details depending on which service you request.

We only use your data to communicate with you and to help us to provide you with excellent customer service. This includes confirmation of order despatch if you purchase from us and notification of books of interest to you if you sign up to our mailing list or register your wants with us. If you request us to remove your details from our database we will do so without question.

If your data is no longer necessary for the above-mentioned purposes, it will be deleted and therefore be no longer available for further use.

All information supplied to us by our customers is treated as totally confidential and is never passed on to any other parties.

If you choose to pay by credit or debit card during the checkout, you will be transferred to the secure payment pages at SagePay (previously known as protx). This is a secure system in which your card details are verified by the bank without being sent to us - we do not see your card details, but receive a transaction status message indicating whether your payment has been authorised or declined.

If we ask you for sensitive data such as contact details, it will be processed on our secure server. You can check you are viewing the page through our secure server by looking in your browser's address bar - the address should start https://...
